That rabbit! What a
character! He was pround of his long ears He was pround of his long feet. And
he was very pround of how fast he ran. “no one can catch me,” rabbit said. “I’m
wonderful. Wonderful!”. “awful!” said spider. “but what can we do?” “I know
what to do,” said turtle.
“would you like to
have a race?” turtle asked rabbit. “let’s race to big rock.” “do I want to
race? With you?” rabbit laughed. “you are a dull, dull turtle. A SLOW turtle.”
Turtle smiled. “I can win,” he said. Rabbit stopped laughing. “let’s go!” he
said. They rain
The rabbit was fast.
He left turtle behind in no time. Then he saw a restaurant. “I’m hungry,” he
thought. “and that turtle is slow. I’ve got time for dinner.” Rabbit ate a
delicious meal of fruit, cheese and cake. turtle went past the restaurant. He
didn’t stop. But rabbit caught up with him later and left him behind again.
Rabbit felt a little
tired then. He found a log. He decided to crawl in. he slept. Turtle did not stop. He went past the log. He was
slow, but he ran and he ran. Suddenly rabbit opened his eyes. He jumped up. He
ran faster than before. But he was too late. That turtle was slow. But he did
not stop. He did not give up. And he won!
